Yesterday I was very kindly invited to go along to Of The Earth Superfood’s re-launch press brunch at Wholefoods in High Street Kensington. It was a really lovely morning where I got to meet lots of other bloggers and Instagramers, all of whom have a great interest in healthy eating and wellness.
The morning started off with a 15 minute Piloxing taster class. If you’re unsure as to what Piloxing is – I certainly had no clue what it was – it’s a fitness class that combines boxing and pilates, and felt somewhat like an aerobics class. I thoroughly enjoyed myself and will definitely be keeping my eyes peeled for future Piloxing classes in London.
After sweating it out, we were each given a big acai bowl (made with frozen acai and banana) and were pointed in the direction of the toppings stand. Seriously, any superfood you can think of was there – hemp seeds, maca, goji berries, mulberries and, of course, fresh berries were all made available. It was like putting a child in front of a pick and mix stand – I went mad with the toppings!
Other foodie delights that were laid out on the table included flax seed crackers, vegan cheeses, banana bliss balls and superfood bliss balls. All gluten free and all absolutely delicious.
But, one of the best bits of the morning was the superfood cocktail bar that was set up in the corner of the room. There was a green cocktail with gin, but I decided to go for a virgin bloody Mary which tasted amazing. I decided that 11am on a Wednesday was a little bit early for a shot of vodka!
